Using computer vision, AI, and machine learning, the platform automates clinical documentation, improves interoperability, and drives insight from complex healthcare environments — and is used directly by surgeons and nurses in live operating rooms. About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Software Engineer who thrives in deep technical problem-solving and architecture ownership, and who raises the technical bar through example rather than title. This role suits a senior technologist who wants maximum technical impact with minimal people-management overhead — leading by building, designing, and making the engineers around them better. You'll spend the majority of your time writing production code, designing scalable systems, reviewing complex designs, and unblocking teams technically.

What You'll Own

Hands-On Design & Development

• Design, build, and evolve a secure, scalable, cloud-native SaaS platform on AWS

• Write and maintain production-quality code across Python, Node.js, React, GraphQL, and TypeScript

• Own core architectural decisions: data models, APIs, service boundaries, and system reliability

Technical Leadership & Coaching

• Act as a technical lead through pairing, design reviews, and code reviews

• Guide engineers through complex problem-solving without formal people-management responsibilities

• Set the technical bar for quality, maintainability, performance, and security through example

Engineering Excellence & DevOps

• Lead architecture and design discussions for high-impact or cross-cutting initiatives

• Drive best practices in testing, observability, performance optimization, and secure development

• Stay hands-on with CI/CD, infrastructure, and deployment; champion monitoring, alerting, and incident-response readiness

AI-Enabled Product Development

• Translate AI and computer-vision concepts into production systems

• Support experimentation, iteration, and scaling of AI-enabled features

• Ensure AI solutions are production-ready, observable, and maintainable — not just prototypes

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with impact at the system or platform level

• Proven experience designing and scaling cloud-native SaaS architectures, ideally on AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS)

• Strong hands-on CI/CD and DevOps experience, owning systems end-to-end

• Proficiency in Python, Node.js, React, and TypeScript with a track record of shipping production code

• Experience in startup or scale-up environments, comfortable making pragmatic trade-offs

Nice to Have

• AI, machine learning, or computer vision in production

• Healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7); regulated or compliance-driven environments
